Every property, including the empty ones

Empty fields are shown as "Not set". That is useful: it tells you there is nothing personal in the property dictionary, even if the file came from a scanner or a design tool.

    Document properties

Title, author, subject and keywords — the fields that usually carry a name or an internal project code.

    Software fields

Creator and producer, which often reveal the app, version and export pipeline.

    Timestamps

Creation and last-modified dates, enough to reconstruct when a document was drafted.

    XMP & attachments

A second metadata format stored separately from the property dictionary, plus attached files.

The author field travels with the file

Most PDF generators copy the account name or the device owner into the author field automatically. When a document leaves your company, that field travels with it. Looking at it takes ten seconds; removing it takes one more click on the metadata remover.

XMP is stored separately from the property dictionary. Some tools clear one but not the other — the viewer reports both, and the remover clears both.

    Questions people ask

Does the viewer upload or keep my file?

No. The PDF is read with the File API in this tab and is not transmitted anywhere. Closing the tab discards it.

    Why are some fields empty?

Not every PDF stores every property. Empty values are genuine — the file has nothing there to leak.

Can I see the XMP packet?

The viewer reports whether an XMP packet is present. The remover drops it along with the property dictionary.

How do I remove what I found?

Use the PDF metadata remover. It rebuilds the file without the properties and verifies the result before download.
